Yosemite & Mariposa
Yosemite National Park is in California’s Sierra Nevada mountains. It’s famed for its giant, ancient sequoia trees, and for Tunnel View, the iconic vista of towering Bridalveil Fall and the granite cliffs of El Capitan and Half Dome.
Mariposa, California, its name is Spanish for “butterfly”, after the flocks of Monarchs seen overwintering there by early explorers. This delightful small town has all the charm you would expect, but with great adventures awaiting.

Yosemite is internationally recognized for its granite cliffs, waterfalls, clear streams, giant sequoia groves, lakes, mountains, glaciers, and biological diversity. Almost 95% of the park is designated wilderness.
Yosemite is one of the largest and least fragmented habitat blocks in the Sierra Nevada. Our cabins are close to both beautiful entrances! Each has it’s own unique views, highlighting either the majestic mountains or the Merced River Valley.
Mariposa has the unique distinction of being a authentic gold rush era community located near the southern end of the Mother Load country of the 1849 gold rush. Mariposa is located on Highway 49 which spans most of the historic mother load country of California. This quaint little town has no stop light, nor does the county. And it is home to the oldest court house in California and the oldest west of the Rocky Mountains!
Unusual natural history museum showcasing exhibits of gems, metals, mining artifacts & more.
The ziplines at Yosemite Ziplines & Adventure Ranch have been constructed as a 2 hour, six stage guide-led tour. Groups of eight to ten are geared up in helmets and harnesses, then driven up the mountain in Polaris Rangers as their guides explain safety procedures and describe the experience the zippers are about to enjoy.
A short distance from Yosemite National Park lies a small, peaceful valley. There is clean air, forest all around, and fields of plump, juicy wine grapes growing among the hills. This is our home.
Shops, restaurants, bars & more!
